The Enviroment is paramount to us as landscapers, with out it we would not even have jobs, the most well loved features of our works is the natural living enviroment like lush lawns and buetiful plants and trees.
Our aims are to increase this naturual living enviroment, and decrease the non living one in your project.
When we design and quote projects, our phiosphy is to reduce material impact, for example we are looking to reduce hard surface landscape areas, and increase soft surface ones.
What does this mean? We restrict Concrete, paving, decking etc… to as minimal as you still find functional. These Hard surface landscapes areas increae heat absorbtion in summer, reduce water seapage to natural ground water flows, increase the stress on natural resources and contribute to global warming. (litle fact: cement production alone is reponsible for more than 10% of global Co2 emmisions)
If we increase the soft surface areas of the landscape we reduce all these impacts, and in some case’s reverse the impact, trees provide shade for exposed brick walls on houses, shading a wall or a window will decrease your house temrature and your air condtioner usage, resulting in you saving money, and the best of all reducing our carbon impact.
We also vehemetly oppose Synthetic Turf. This is evil stuff, and ought be heavily regulted. (Read more about it here:)
We Recycle all left over products and materiasl from our Project sites, removed and left over Concrete we send to Concrete recycling facilitys where it is converted to road base which we also use in all our Jobs, we seperate Green waste to be sent to Windrow Compost manafactureing, we keep all PVC, HDPE, PE and all metal and spereate it into indivdual bins ready to be recycled. (you can see a list of the recyclers we use and for your own use.
We always direct the client towards the most enviromentally friendly materials and sustainable plantings as possible within the design brief.
This includes, recycled concrete road base, Recycled soil, Austaralian and locally made/sourced materials to reduce carbon miles, Ethical Timber chocies for decking and screens,
